Gateways offers diagnostic-prescriptive programs in reading, writing, and math.

Students are first assessed to determine their current achievement levels, specific skills, learning style, and interest. Next, we establish learning goals and develop an individualized learning program. Gateways’ vast array of teaching materials and 1:1 or 2:1 student-teacher ratio enable us to teach each student in the way he learns best and at his own pace.

We monitor progress continually, and students are posttested at appropriate intervals to measure success and set new learning goals. (Please see Results.) Confidence and joy of learning grow as skills are mastered.

Because Gateways programs are individualized, students may begin at any time.

Parents are kept fully informed of their child’s progress through regular conferences with the center Director and through written reports.

With parent permission—and at no additional charge—contact is established with teachers and any other professional working with the student to create an efficient, supportive team.
